Guns N' Roses will mostly step away from the stage in 2027 to focus on new music, guitarist Slash said on “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk”, according to B92. The break will follow the shows already booked for the end of this year, including dates in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Slash explained that the band members have gathered a large number of musical ideas over the years but, because of their busy schedule, never had the chance to work them out together. He described the material as completely disorganised and said collecting and sorting it takes a lot of time and focus. Slash added that he personally has no trouble writing on the road and seems to be the only one able to stay up all night working on songs, but Duff and Axl each have their own way of working, which makes writing together on tour almost impossible.
There is no word yet on when new songs might be released. The band's most recent studio album, “Chinese Democracy”, came out in 2008.
During the break Slash will keep busy with his other band, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. Their new album, “Flying Blind”, is out on 26 February 2027 and will be followed by the “Flying Blind World Tour 2027”, covering South America, North America and Europe.
Guns N' Roses are an American hard rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1985.
