Bob Dylan launched the Lights Of Autumn tour on 17 October at Oslo Spektrum, playing a 19-song set from behind an electric keyboard all night. According to Stereogum, he gave live debuts to Randy Newman’s “Louisiana 1927” and Guy Clark’s “Dublin Blues,” brought back “Crash On The Levee” for the first time since 2005 and played “Tangled Up In Blue,” absent from his sets since 2018.
Dylan rewrote the third, fourth, fifth and sixth verses of “Tangled Up In Blue,” with the biggest changes in the third and fourth. The new lyrics, which Stereogum transcribed from fan clips, open with “Way up in the frozen woods.”
There was also a new guitarist on stage, reportedly Mike Seal. Stereogum counts him as the sixth Dylan has used this year, after Doug Lancio, Bob Britt, Julian Lage, Joel Paterson and Jad Tariq.
The dates closest to Romania: Vienna on 11 and 12 November (Wiener Stadthalle, Halle D) and Salzburg on 14 November (Salzburg Arena), according to the artist's official site.
Born in Duluth in 1941, the American singer-songwriter released his most recent studio album, “Rough and Rowdy Ways,” in June 2020, according to MusicBrainz. His last concert in Romania was on 25 June 2014 at Sala Palatului in Bucharest.
