Kid Rock releases Christian album “Halfway 2 Jesus” with Eminem on “Heal My Faith”
Kid Rock released “Halfway 2 Jesus”, a Christian music album featuring Eminem, Lil Wayne and Jimmie Allen, on 17 October 2026, according to Consequence.
In a social media video shared before the release, Kid Rock said he wanted to bring together people of different backgrounds and politics, from the guests to the songwriters and engineers. The Eminem collaboration was meant to bridge exactly that divide: Kid Rock is a staunch Donald Trump supporter, while Eminem has been an outspoken critic of the president. In the album's foreword, Kid Rock writes that the two have stayed friends despite their differences and hopes that sets an example for people who have stopped talking to friends or family over politics.
On “Heal My Faith”, Eminem recalls Kid Rock turning up at the Viper Room release party for “The Slim Shady EP” when he was still unknown, and calls him “my brother, not my political enemy”. Kid Rock closes the track with a spoken-word outro saying the freedom to think differently is what makes the country great. Eminem wrote on social media that it was not about choosing sides but about making music with an old friend.
Kid Rock was born in 1971 in Romeo, in the United States, and mixes rock, hip-hop and country. Earlier in October, mbuzz reported that he had announced the Christian album, with Eminem among the guests.
