Europe have released the album “Come This Madness” in 2026 on Silver Lining Music and Hell & Back Recordings, nine years after “Walk the Earth”. According to Rockinform's review, the record does not continue its predecessor's course, nor does it try to be a “The Final Countdown 2”.

The producer is Tom Dalgety, who has also worked with Ghost, Opeth, Pixies and Rammstein, and the final mix is by Mike Fraser. The reviewer singles out John Levén's bass on tracks such as “One On One”, John Norum's bluesy solos, and Mic Michaeli's keyboards on “Scandinavian Eyes”. “In the Absence of Grace” runs only about a minute and a half, built on piano, vocals and strings.

Rockinform writes that Joey Tempest's voice has grown darker and grainier but remains steady in the high register. Tobias Forge of Ghost and Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth appear as guest vocalists.
