Fontaines D.C. have released “Where Is Gone?”, a collaboration with Rosalía from their new album “Dopamine Chamber”, due October 16 on XL. According to Stereogum, she is the first guest ever featured on one of the Irish band's records. The song arrived a few days after Rosalía's Saturday Night Live appearance, where, per Pitchfork, she played “Reliquia” and “Magnolias”.

Stereogum describes the track as a big, dramatic, string-laden ballad with “Bond-theme vibes”. Grian Chatten's and Rosalía's voices contrast over echoing guitars and sweeping orchestral crescendos, and both sing in English. The song leaked over the weekend, having been available on white-label 7-inch singles at listening events for the album. Pitchfork notes that “Dopamine Chamber” was produced by James Ford.

Guitarist Carlos O’Connell, who per Pitchfork grew up in Madrid with both Spanish and Irish cultures, said in a press release that he has been a fan of Rosalía since her debut album. He compared the way she keeps a Spanish musical tradition alive to what the band has tried to do with Irish music.

Fontaines D.C. are a rock band from Dublin, formed in 2017. Their previous album, “Romance”, came out in August 2024, according to MusicBrainz. The singles “Marianne” and “Tongue” have also been released from the new record; mbuzz covered the latter in October. Also in October, the band was named in the Primavera Sound 2027 lineup. Stereogum adds that they have announced a North American tour for 2027.
