Dutch singer Kovacs has released “Happiness”, the third single from her fourth studio album “Static Tears”, due on 13 November 2026. She plays Bucharest on 24 November at Hard Rock Cafe and Cluj-Napoca on 25 November at FORM SPACE, according to Hard Rock Cafe's calendar and iaBilet's listing. Tickets for Bucharest start at 89 RON, and the Cluj-Napoca show is on sale through iaBilet. On 27 November she also performs in Budapest at Barba Negra, zene.hu reports.
According to zene.hu, “Happiness” takes a lighter tone after the darker, more dramatic mood her music is known for. Recorded in Berlin, the song sets Kovacs's raspy soul voice against futuristic 1970s sounds and strings, poking fun with dry humour at status symbols and the illusions of consumer society.
“More upbeat and liberated than anything I've done before,” she said of the song, which also asks what real happiness is.
“Static Tears” has ten tracks and blends vulnerability with electronic music, using analogue synths and vocoder, zene.hu writes. The Budapest concert is part of the album-launch tour.
Kovacs, whose full name is Sharon Kovacs, is a singer from the Netherlands, born in 1990 in Baarlo. Her last concert in Romania was on 1 September 2019 at Palatul Mogoșoaia, according to setlist.fm.
