Palms Trax helms the next fabric Presents mix, out on 27 November

Palms Trax is behind the next instalment of the fabric Presents series, a 20-track mix due on 27 November, according to 909originals.

Titled “fabric Presents: Palms Trax”, the mix combines new solo material, collaborations with Mathew Jonson and Ogazón, and rare selections. It will also be released as a double-vinyl sampler. A single from the mix, “Kalia's Photos”, made with Mathew Jonson, is already out.

Palms Trax is the alias of Jay Donaldson, a UK-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer who has drawn on a wide range of genres over a career of around a decade. A press release quoted by 909originals says his sound is rooted in house and techno, alongside a lifelong love of sentimental dance music, balancing emotive textures, timeless grooves and forward-looking club energy.

For Donaldson, the project is a chance to bring together different strands of his musical interests rather than focus on a single style. The release frames the mix as a window into the sounds, influences and connections that shaped his approach, weaving original productions and collaborations together with personal picks and rediscovered tracks.
