Pete & Bas play Club Guesthouse in Bucharest on 26 November

British duo Pete & Bas play Club Guesthouse in Bucharest on 26 November, according to ticket seller Entertix. The night before, on 25 November, they perform at Dürer Kert in Budapest, according to zene.hu.

Pete & Bas are two rappers from south-east London in their seventies who formed in 2017 and broke through with their debut song “Shut Ya Mouth”, whose video spread quickly online. They followed it with tracks such as “The Old Estate” and “Dents in a Peugeot”, played sold-out clubs and festivals across Europe and have gathered more than a million followers on social media, zene.hu writes.

By their own account, the pair have long-standing ties to the notorious Richardson and Kray crime families, a backstory that has become part of their image alongside their cinematic videos. According to the Hungarian outlet, leading figures of the UK hip-hop and grime scene have acknowledged their work, among them Jaykae, Mist, D Double E, Dizzee Rascal, Giggs, Headie One and Dave. They have worked with M24, T-Pain and the members of Northern Boys, who reportedly started making music because of the duo.

Their newest studio album is “Mugshot”, released on 22 November 2024, according to MusicBrainz.
