Roland unveils TD-07DMK2 and TD-07KV2 V-Drums electronic kits

Roland has unveiled two new electronic drum kits in its TD-07 series, part of the V-Drums range: the TD-07DMK2 and the TD-07KV2, according to Gearnews. Both are aimed at beginners and at drummers moving over from acoustic kits, and both are available for pre-order.

The TD-07DMK2 is now the lowest-priced model in the revamped series, a compact five-piece kit designed for tight spaces. It comes with an extra cymbal arm for adding a second crash cymbal later. The TD-07KV2 is also a five-piece kit, but ships with slightly larger pads and two crash cymbals as standard, and is pitched at intermediate to advanced players.

Both kits use V-Drums 3 snare and tom pads with updated sensing technology, plus a standalone KD-10 kick pad that works with single or double pedals. Part of the rack comes pre-assembled, and a wider central pipe allows an upgrade to the KDQ-8 kick pad from the V-Drums Quiet Design line, which reduces noise.

At the heart of both sets is the TD-07 sound module, with built-in Bluetooth for streaming practice songs from mobile devices. It offers an upgraded coach mode with exercises, and lessons through the Drum Pass bundle.

Gearnews lists the TD-07DMK2 at 925 euros and the TD-07KV2 at 1,198 euros; in the US they are priced at $899.99 and $1,099.99.
