Ruhrpott Rodeo 2027 announces The Pogues, Wizo and Danger Dan
German festival Ruhrpott Rodeo has announced the first acts for its 2027 edition, set for 2-4 July at the Schwarze Heide site in Hünxe. According to Visions, the likely headliners are The Pogues, the folk-punk veterans who have become active again after the death of singer Shane MacGowan.
Also near the top of the bill are Danger Dan, festival regulars Wizo, Millencolin and Hatebreed. The organisers have also booked a string of punk veterans: The Adicts, The Exploited, Discharge, GBH, the newly re-formed RKL and Die Kassierer. The line-up so far also includes Deine Cousine, Buster Shuffle, Drei Meter Feldweg, Butterwegge, Rumkicks, Oxo 86, Dead To Me and Dave Hause & The Mermaid.
Tickets are already on sale through the festival's website. A regular three-day pass costs 156.60 euros including fees, a pass with camping currently costs 199.80 euros, and caravan tickets are 264.60 euros.
In the nearly 20 years since its first edition, Ruhrpott Rodeo has grown into Germany's largest punk festival, Visions writes. It sold out in each of the past two years with 12,000 visitors. The 2027 edition marks the festival's 20th anniversary, and the organisers say a community has grown around the event, promising something "very special".
