Sam Smith releases a duet version of “My Guy” with Jacob Lusk

Sam Smith has released a duet version of “My Guy” featuring Jacob Lusk, together with a live video of the two performing it at the London Coliseum, uDiscover Music reports. The new version is out through Capitol Records, and the song comes from Smith’s fifth studio album, “Hazel Eyes”.

The video captures Lusk’s surprise appearance at the Coliseum in October, during Smith’s “To Be Free” global residency. Smith co-wrote “My Guy” with Feist, Simon Aldred and Shahzad Ismaily; the original version arrived with a music video in June. Lusk, the former lead singer of Gabriels, has also worked with Honey Dijon and performed with Moby at Coachella.

The duet follows Smith’s appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, where Smith and The TwoCity Chorus performed “Oh Mother”, another song from “Hazel Eyes”. The album was co-produced by Smith, Aldred and David Odlum and draws on baroque pop, British folk, outlaw country and R&B. Its songs include “Constant Companion”, about enduring love, “When He’s Gone”, about the fear of losing a partner, and the soulful closer “To Be Free”.

Sam Smith is a British singer-songwriter, born in London in 1992, working across soul, R&B and pop. “Hazel Eyes” came out on 21 August 2026, according to MusicBrainz.
