Shudder To Think share Depeche Mode cover “Something To Do”
Art-punk band Shudder To Think have shared a cover of Depeche Mode's “Something To Do,” according to Stereogum. The original appeared on the 1984 album “Some Great Reward.”
The cover is part of “Who Sent You?”, a three-track EP due on 11 September via Dischord. The reunited band released a two-song single last year, their first new music in 27 years. The EP's title track is already out.
The band says the song came on the radio while they were working on new material. They learned its structure right after finishing basic tracks for the EP's final song and played it in roughly three takes, with no corrections. Thomas Lennon, brother-in-law of the band's Craig, was visiting and joined them in the room during the recording.
