Sleaford Mods released an expanded digital edition of their album “The Demise Of Planet X” on 15 October 2026, adding nine previously unheard tracks, according to Rough Trade Records. It arrives with the single “Cato”, a collaboration with Life Without Buildings singer Sue Tompkins, who also directed its video.
The extra songs include an alternative version of “The Good Life” featuring Big Special, as well as “Give Em What They Want”, “Cheap Cheap Shit”, “Armageddon’s Wi Me Now” and “Dr Who?”. Jason Williamson describes them as near-finished demos left off the record that show the process behind it. “Cato” was recorded in Nottingham about a month after “No Touch”, Tompkins’s earlier single with the duo, prompting Williamson to say “she could join the band.” Tompkins based the video on the character Cato from the Inspector Clouseau films.
Sleaford Mods are an English electronic punk duo made up of Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn. “The Demise Of Planet X”, released on 16 January 2026, reached the UK Top Ten and featured Aldous Harding, Gwendoline Christie, Snowy and Liam Bailey.
The duo is touring Europe this autumn, with stops including Brussels, Helsinki, Ljubljana, Istanbul and Parma, and supports The Prodigy in Amsterdam on 28 November. Tour dates include Warsaw on 1 November (Stodola), Vienna on 3 November (Arena) and Athens on 7 November (Floyd), according to Rough Trade Records. US shows follow in spring 2027, including New York and the Big Ears festival in Knoxville.
