Moldova will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, to be held in May in Burgas, Bulgaria, national broadcaster TRM has confirmed, according to Eurovoix, citing ESCSpot. Moldova is the 32nd country to confirm its place at the contest's 71st edition.

The news was passed to ESCSpot by Veronica Cojocaru, Moldova's head of delegation at the 2026 contest, who said details of how the act and the song will be chosen will follow later. Vitalie Cojocaru has also been appointed as the new head of the Moldovan delegation, a role he previously held in 2008-2011, 2013, 2015 and continuously from 2018 to 2022.

Moldova returned to the contest in 2026 in Vienna after sitting out the 2025 edition in Basel, citing a lack of suitable artists willing to compete and budget problems. In Vienna, Satoshi took the country back to the final with “Viva Moldova” and finished 8th out of 25, after Moldova had failed to qualify from the semi-final in 2024.

The country debuted at Eurovision in 2005 in Kyiv, and its best result is still third place in 2017, earned by Sunstroke Project with “Hey Mamma!”. In October, mbuzz reported that the Eurovision Village is planned for the Port of Burgas, close to where the three live shows will take place on 11, 13 and 15 May.
