Take That have released “Higher,” the fifth single from their album “Dreamers,” out on 20 November. The disco-infused track has Howard Donald on lead vocals and premiered on 15 October on Vernon Kay’s BBC Radio 2 show.
According to uDiscover Music, the 12-track album moves through radio pop, folk, house, piano ballads and orchestral arrangements, made with both longtime and new collaborators and built around the group’s harmonies and musicianship. Opener “Wonderkids” looks back on the band’s journey with tongue-in-cheek lyrics and musical nods to “Patience” and “Back For Good,” while closer “Masterpiece” was written with Tom Odell and layers several pianos.
“Dreamers” follows a year in which the group revisited its history in a Netflix documentary and returned to the stage with the Circus tour, which drew more than 700,000 fans across the UK and Ireland over the summer.
The Dreamers Tour follows next summer: 31 shows in 31 cities across 16 countries, mixing festivals, outdoor shows and European venues. It opens in Switzerland on 3 June 2027 and travels through Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Denmark, Spain, Italy and Austria, ending in Germany on 23 July.
Take That are a British pop group formed in Manchester in 1990. Their most recent studio album is “This Life,” released in November 2023, according to MusicBrainz.
