Amy Winehouse’s 2006 “Back to Black” TV performance released on YouTube

An archival performance of “Back to Black” by Amy Winehouse has been released on YouTube, according to uDiscover Music. The television appearance was recorded in 2006 for The Album Chart Show and supports the newly announced 20th anniversary reissue of “Back to Black”, her second album.

The reissue collects the original studio album, four previously unreleased demos, rare B-sides and bonus tracks, plus her 8 February 2007 concert at Paradiso in Amsterdam. That show comes out in full on vinyl and streaming for the first time, with a set including “Back to Black”, “You Know I'm No Good”, “Rehab” and “Love Is a Losing Game”. Formats include a clear-vinyl 3LP set, a 3CD edition and a digital deluxe edition.

The physical deluxe editions add alternative cover artwork, Winehouse’s handwritten lyrics from Mark Ronson’s archives and unseen photographs by the album’s original photographers, Mischa Richter and Alex Lake. Producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi wrote new liner notes about their work with her. The campaign also offers limited single-LP versions: a “Chalkboard Marble” colour-vinyl pressing and a webstore-exclusive zoetrope edition with moving images of the singer.

Released in 2006 as the follow-up to her debut “Frank”, “Back to Black” earned Winehouse five Grammys in 2008, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album, while “Rehab” won Record of the Year and Song of the Year. In 2025 the Library of Congress added the album to the National Recording Registry.

Amy Winehouse (1983–2011) was an English singer-songwriter from Southgate whose music drew on soul, rhythm and blues and jazz.
