The Avalanches release “No Bad Memories”, a 31-track album with many guests
The Avalanches released “No Bad Memories” on 16 October 2026, the Australian group’s fourth studio album, out via Modular Recordings and Universal. It runs 31 tracks and 52 minutes, with guests including Karen O, John Glacier, Jamie xx, Barry Can’t Swim, Rivers Cuomo and Mike Patton.
According to Billboard, the record explores where advertising, memory and nostalgia meet, looking at how jingles, sonic logos, commercials and the sounds of technology settle into everyday life and become tied to the memories they accompany. The band, now Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi and Andy Szekere, thanked listeners for the enthusiasm their music still receives.
The album arrives with a video for “I Give Everything I Have 2 U”, featuring Loaded Honey. The Sixth Sense actor Haley Joel Osment stars, filmed in a single take as he drives through Shibuya traffic in Tokyo, with cinematographer Andrés Arochi behind the camera. The group has dates coming up in the United States, continental Europe, the United Kingdom and Asia, followed by an Australian tour in early 2027.
The Avalanches formed in Melbourne in 1997 and make sample-based electronic music. Their 2000 debut “Since I Left You” was stitched together from thousands of vinyl samples. The follow-up, “Wildflower”, came 16 years later and went straight to No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, while 2020’s “We Will Always Love You” won the Australian Music Prize for album of the year.
