The Chemical Brothers named second headliner of PhillGood 2027 in Plovdiv

The Chemical Brothers will play Plovdiv, Bulgaria, on 17 July 2027 as the second headliner of PhillGood, a festival now heading into its second edition. The British duo will close the festival's second night, with the event running from 16 to 18 July at Grebna baza, the city's rowing canal. Robbie Williams was previously announced as the edition's first headliner, and the organisers say a third headliner and more acts are still to come.

Tickets are sold through Ticket Station: three-day passes start at 199 euros and single-night tickets at 99 euros, with tickets for the 17 July night going on sale with the announcement. Stefan Elenkov, executive director of organiser Fest Team, said he wants PhillGood to bring Plovdiv "the scale of the big European festivals". The festival is backed by the Plovdiv 2019 Foundation and the city's municipality.

The Chemical Brothers are Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands, who started out in Manchester in the early 1990s and took big beat from the clubs into the mainstream with songs such as “Hey Boy Hey Girl”, “Block Rockin' Beats” and “Galvanize”. Their latest studio album is “For That Beautiful Feeling”, released in 2023. In October mbuzz reported that the duo will headline Open'er 2027 in Poland on 1 July and play three concerts in Italy in June 2027. Their last concert in Romania was on 14 August 2016 at Domeniul Stirbey in Buftea.
