XANDRIA play Sofia on 8 October, presenting the album “Eclipse”

German symphonic metal band XANDRIA play a concert in Sofia on 8 October, promoted by Feast Team, according to Bulgarian site WeRock. The show was moved from the Party Center Pirotska 5 to the indoor stage of Vidas Art Arena. It is described as the band's first headline show in Bulgaria.

The band are touring behind “Eclipse”, their ninth album in a career of more than 30 years and the second with singer Ambre Vourvahis. In an interview aired on Radio Varna on 21 September, she said the record is more focused than its more experimental predecessor, “The Wonders Still Awaiting”. She said the title points to dark themes, some of them political, but also to a message of strength and hope.

Vourvahis added that for “Eclipse” the band again worked with a Bulgarian choir from Sofia.
