Anthrax release “Cursum Perficio”, their first new album in 10 years

Anthrax released “Cursum Perficio” on 18 September 2026, the thrash metal band’s first new album in a decade. According to infomusic, it is out through Megaforce in the United States and Nuclear Blast in Europe, and it contains 11 tracks.

The band also put out a music video for the title track, starring actor-musician London May. Consequence notes that the album was preceded by the singles “It’s For the Kids,” “The Edge of Perfection” and “Everybody’s Got a Plan.”

Drummer Charlie Benante initially said it was not necessarily the band’s final album, while guitarist Scott Ian was less certain and said it could well be their last full-length. Anthrax are currently touring North America on Iron Maiden’s “Run For Your Lives” tour, alongside Megadeth.
