Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” video passes one billion YouTube views

The official video for Black Eyed Peas’ 2009 hit “I Gotta Feeling” has passed one billion views on YouTube, according to uDiscover Music.

Released in June 2009, the song was the second single from the group’s fifth studio album, “The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies)”. Produced by David Guetta and will.i.am, it blended hip-hop with the electronic dance sound of the time and became one of the defining pop hits of the late 2000s. It spent 14 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, taking over from “Boom Boom Pow”, which had held the top spot for 12 weeks, giving the group 26 straight weeks at the summit in 2009. The track won the Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals in 2010 and passed two billion Spotify plays in 2026.

Directed by Ben Mor and Mikey Mee, the video follows will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie as they get ready for a night out before meeting up at a house party. Other Black Eyed Peas videos already past the billion mark include “Where Is The Love?”, “RITMO (Bad Boys For Life)” with J Balvin, “My Humps” and “Pump It”.

Black Eyed Peas are an American hip-hop group formed in Los Angeles in 1995. Their newest studio album is “ELEVATION” (2022), according to MusicBrainz. In October, mbuzz reported that their 2011 hit “Just Can't Get Enough” had passed one billion Spotify streams.
