Doechii releases “CATWOMAN” video in new Swamp Sessions installment
Doechii released the song and video “CATWOMAN” on 20 October 2026, a new installment of her Swamp Sessions series, according to Billboard.
In the video, the Florida rapper walks through the desert in baggy washed jeans and a white sports bra, and the Swamp Princess character is blown up by the Catwoman version of Doechii, who carries a bazooka. Wearing an Afro, black denim, heels and sunglasses, she then struts to the scene. The title recalls her 2024 track of the same name, and the lyrics include a nod to Busta Rhymes, a mention of Sean Connery and his James Bond roles, and a reference to 2Pac.
Billboard notes that the Grammy-winning TDE rapper is heading toward her debut album. In a journal entry, she wrote that she spent recent years relearning hip-hop “as a student” and now wants to see “black womanhood exist at the center” of hip-hop and pop. Earlier this year, her Lady Gaga collaboration “Runway,” from the soundtrack of “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” peaked at No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Doechii is an American rapper and singer, born in 1998 in Tampa. On 12 October mbuzz reported that she had revived Swamp Sessions with the song “BOMBS,” and on 5 October that she was among the headliners of Barcelona's Primavera Sound 2027.
