Macklemore to donate $1 million from Ed Sheeran tour earnings to Palestinian groups

Macklemore said in a statement on September 16, 2026 that he will donate the full $1 million of his net earnings from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour to six organizations supporting Palestinians. According to Rolling Stone, he also invited New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft to match the amount.

The recipients are the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, HEAL Palestine, Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians, the United Nations Relief Work Agency USA and Anera. Macklemore wrote that he wanted to bring the conversation back to Palestinians, adding that a Palestinian life is “no less valuable” than any other.

Kraft responded in a statement on Gillette Stadium’s social media, saying Sheeran had called him earlier and asked him to commit $2 million to humanitarian aid in the region. Macklemore was removed from the tour on September 14 after several venues reportedly refused to host shows with him on the bill. Kraft has confirmed he would not allow him to perform at Gillette. A rep for Sheeran had not responded to Rolling Stone.
