Martin Garrix sings lead on new single “This Dream Of You”
Martin Garrix has released “This Dream Of You”, a single that puts the Dutch DJ's own voice at the centre of the production, according to We Rave You. The track opens with an ethereal orchestral passage before Garrix's vocals come in over airy textures and euphoric melodies, held together by the line “this dream of you is my way of coping.”
Garrix first tried his voice on “Catharina”, but here it leads the song. He called the release “a really special one” for him, saying singing sits far outside his comfort zone and that he wanted to push himself and keep learning. He first played the track as his intro at Tomorrowland, which he said made that moment more personal.
The single follows a busy run of collaborations. “Fireflies” with U2, the first track to feature all four members of the band alongside Garrix, has reached the Top 10 at UK radio. He also worked with Madonna on “Bizarre” from her new album “Confessions II”, which he premiered during his three-night run at Barclays Center in New York. “Repeat It” with Ed Sheeran has climbed into the Top 15 of the Mediabase Top 40 since its May release.
Born in 1996 in Amstelveen, Martin Garrix is a DJ, producer and singer known for electro house and Dutch house. In October mbuzz reported that he is among the names on the 30th anniversary edition of Amsterdam Dance Event, running from October 21 to 25, 2026.
