Metallica play “Of Wolf and Man” at Halloween show at the Las Vegas Sphere

Metallica marked Halloween on 31 October 2026 at their Las Vegas Sphere residency by bringing out the deep cut “Of Wolf and Man” for the first time in the run, according to Loudwire, citing setlist.fm. The band had not played it since their 3 July show at London Stadium.

The song arrived nearly halfway through the set, straight after “72 Seasons”, with James Hetfield introducing it with the line “Seek the wolf in thyself”. The Sphere's screens showed a blood-red, apocalyptic sky and a giant door decorated with bronze bodies and the heads of all four members. The night had opened as usual with “Blackened”, “Fuel” and “Leper Messiah”.

Kirk Hammett and Rob Trujillo, the bassist wearing a bright red wig, tailored their regular “Kirk and Rob Doodle” to the occasion, mixing “I Disappear” from the Mission: Impossible 2 soundtrack with the theme from The Addams Family. The set also included “The Call of Ktulu”, dedicated to Cliff Burton, the cover “Whiskey in a Jar”, and closed with “For Whom the Bell Tolls”, “One” and “Enter Sandman”.

In October mbuzz reported that Metallica debuted “Harvester of Sorrow” in the residency on 17 October, at their sixth Sphere show. Formed in Los Angeles in 1981, the American thrash and heavy metal band released their latest studio album, “72 Seasons”, in April 2023, and last played Romania on 13 May 2026 at Arena Națională in Bucharest.

According to Loudwire, Metallica will tour the US, with one stop in Canada, from 28 January to 19 June 2027, with Limp Bizkit and Avatar in support.
