My Chemical Romance share unreleased song “Someone Out There Loves You”

My Chemical Romance released the previously unreleased song “Someone Out There Loves You” on 16 October, ahead of the 20th anniversary reissue of “The Black Parade”, due on 23 October. The recording comes from the band's October 2007 show at Maxwell's, a 200-capacity club in Hoboken, and arrives with video footage from that night.

The expanded edition pairs the original tracklist of the four-times platinum 2006 album with six bonus tracks: three live recordings from the same Hoboken gig and three B-sides previously scattered across other releases. In September the band shared a live take of “The Sharpest Lives”, which had only been available on the DVD of their 2008 collection “The Black Parade Is Dead!”. James Jean, who painted the original cover, made three new artworks for the reissue. According to NME, the band said the set gathers, for the first time, everything they finished during those sessions.

The group is on its “Long Live The Black Parade” tour, playing the album in full. After the UK, European and North American legs, they close the run from 21 October with five consecutive nights at the Hollywood Bowl, the first band to do so. At a show in San Antonio, Gerard Way hinted that the band hopes to make another record.

Formed in New Jersey in 2001, My Chemical Romance split in 2013 and later reunited. According to Billboard, their latest studio album is still 2010's “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys”, followed by the 2022 single “The Foundations of Decay”. “Welcome to the Black Parade” reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 2006.
