Roger Sanchez releases “Spectrum Refracted” with a David Morales remix

Roger Sanchez has released “Spectrum Refracted”, a six-track companion to “Spectrum”, the album he put out in June. Issued through Stealth Records, the project gathers five remixes and one new original production, according to Electronic Groove.

Fellow Grammy winner David Morales reworks “Canto Al Amor”, while the new track “Feel Free” is a collaboration between Sanchez and EMan. Sanchez adds his own Flower Power remixes of “How Do We Say Goodbye”, featuring Karen Harding, and “I Don't Wanna Know”, featuring Melanie C; both were played during his summer residency at Pacha Ibiza.

The release is completed by Dani Masi's take on “Temptation” and a remix of “I Don't Wanna Know” by Serdar Guven and Ahmed Ahmedov, picked by Sanchez and Melanie C from hundreds of entries to a global competition run with Beatport. Sanchez called the remixes his “secret weapons all summer long”, played in Ibiza and around Europe, and likened the new versions to light refracting through a prism, offering another way to experience the album's songs.

Roger Sanchez is an American DJ, remixer and producer of Dominican descent, born in New York City in 1967 and rooted in house music. “Spectrum” marked the Grammy-winning producer's return to the album format after two decades.
