Skid Row revealed their new lead singer, Justin Sargent, on 29 October 2026, introducing him on a cover of The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, the band’s first release with the new line-up.
Sargent was picked after a worldwide search that included an open audition run with instrument retailer Sweetwater. Like the band, he comes from New Jersey. According to Loudwire, the group spent months rehearsing with him before making the decision final. Guitarist Dave “Snake” Sabo said Sargent’s voice, attitude and demeanor “all just fit”, while bassist Rachel Bolan called him “one of us. A lifer.” Sargent said he had been singing Skid Row songs for years but never imagined joining the band.
The video was directed by Dale “Rage” Resteghini, and the track was produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who has worked with the band before, according to WeRock.
Skid Row parted ways with previous singer Erik Grönwall in 2024, after a two-year stint; he stepped away for health reasons. Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale filled in for a few shows that year.
Sargent will perform with the band on a spring 2027 North American tour, opening on 5 March in Rancho Mirage, California, and running to 29 May in Niagara Falls, Ontario, with stops at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple. A further date is set for 25 September in French Lick, Indiana.
