Therion and Six Feet Under confirmed for Rockstadt Fest 2027 in Ghimbav, Romania

Therion, Six Feet Under and Embrionic Autopsy are among the latest names confirmed for Rockstadt Fest 2027, which runs from 26 to 30 July in Ghimbav, near Brașov, according to Metalfan.

Therion will mark 40 years together with a special anniversary show, played at only a handful of major European festivals. The set will draw on the whole catalogue, with a focus on albums such as “Theli”, “Vovin”, “Secret of the Runes”, “Lemuria”, “Sirius B” and the “Leviathan” trilogy. In October mbuzz reported that the band had also been confirmed for Rock Hard Festival 2027 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, from 14 to 16 May.

Six Feet Under formed in 1993 as a collaboration between Chris Barnes, then the singer of Cannibal Corpse, and former Obituary guitarist Allen West, and later became Barnes's main band. Their death metal leans on weight and groove rather than speed. Since 2000 the band has also released the “Graveyard Classics” series, reworking well-known hard rock, punk and metal songs in its own style.

Therion is a Swedish symphonic metal band formed in 1987, whose music has moved through symphonic, gothic and progressive metal. Its newest studio album, according to MusicBrainz, is “Leviathan III”, released in December 2023, and the band last played Romania on 10 August 2024, at the Suceava Fortress.
