American metal band Trivium have announced their 11th studio album, “Crown In the Grave”, due on 20 November. The title track arrives with a video directed by Pavel Trebukhin, according to WeRock.
Bassist Paolo Gregoletto says the band wanted the album to exist in a world of its own. The process began with the title track, inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s “Throne of Blood”, and led the group deep into mid-century Japanese cinema and horror. That became a dark, haunted atmosphere that shaped the music, lyrics, artwork and overall identity of the record.
The tracklist runs “Jorogumo”, “Crown In The Grave”, “Dead Inside Of Me”, “The Terror”, “The Haunting Never Ends”, “Lie Of It All”, “Blackout The Dawn”, “Paradise Of Sinners”, “Death Throes”, “The Agony”, “Devour Your Dreams” and “Serpent In The Flame”. Formed in Orlando in 1999, Trivium last released “In the Court of the Dragon” in 2021.
