BTS and The Weeknd set records on Billboard’s August Boxscore report

BTS returned to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Tours ranking with $171.7 million and 801,000 tickets sold across 12 shows in August, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. It is the second-biggest one-month gross in the chart’s history, just behind Beyoncé’s $179.3 million in August 2023.

The “Arirang World Tour” has passed $500 million since it began on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea. Billboard notes BTS is one of seven groups to reach that mark on a single tour, and the only pop group among them. The biggest stop was MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., with $32.7 million and 158,000 tickets over two nights.

The Weeknd placed second with $146.7 million and 995,000 tickets, a new Boxscore record for monthly attendance. His five nights at London’s Wembley Stadium grossed $58.2 million. Usher and Chris Brown’s The R&B Tour ranked third with $91.8 million.
