Miley releases Mert Alas-directed video for “Different Religion”

Miley has released the video for “Different Religion,” a single from her 10th studio album, “Bass Persuades,” according to Rolling Stone. The clip was directed by Mert Alas.

It opens on a desert road lined with mountains, where a speeding car turns out to be driven by the singer. Model Charlie Knepper appears in the video, and Cole Haden of Model/Actriz takes turns with Miley on some of the verses while other models mouth the lyrics.

The video follows “Bass Persuades” reaching Number One on the Billboard 200, her first album to top the chart since “Bangerz” in 2013. In its review of the album, Rolling Stone described the track as a gothic pop song about a man who drives a fast car.
