Daft Punk pass 18 billion Spotify streams five years after their split
Daft Punk passed 18 billion credited Spotify streams in October 2026, a total that includes the songs on which the French duo appear as collaborators, according to We Rave You. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo still draw around 27.5 million monthly listeners on the platform.
A large part of that figure comes from their work with The Weeknd. “Starboy”, the title track of his 2016 album, has passed 4.8 billion streams, and “I Feel It Coming” is above 2.3 billion. The two songs together account for more than 7.1 billion streams, close to 40% of the duo’s credited total.
Their own catalogue keeps adding up as well. “Get Lucky” has passed 1.4 billion streams, “One More Time” is a few million short of 1 billion and “Instant Crush” has crossed 900 million, while “Around the World” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” are each above 500 million. Among the albums, “Discovery” passed 3 billion streams in September 2026, and the 10th Anniversary Edition of “Random Access Memories” went past 3.2 billion in October. “Homework” is nearing 900 million, and the “TRON: Legacy” soundtrack has passed 800 million.
Daft Punk formed in Paris in 1993 and split in 2021 after a 28-year run, becoming one of the defining names of French house. In October mbuzz reported that the duo now have their own Lego set, recreating the pyramid stage of their 2007 Alive Tour, and on 21 October British DJ Ralph Lawson released a 1997 Daft Punk mix rescued from an old cassette.
