Chase & Status release “Generic Everything” album with Little Simz and Skrillex

Chase & Status have released their new album, “Generic Everything”, a ten-track project that pushes the duo’s high-energy drum and bass into dubstep, Brazilian baile funk and road rap, according to We Rave You. MusicBrainz lists the release date as 9 October 2026.

The guest list is long. Little Simz features on lead single “Carnage”, while Skrillex joins on “Essa Ta Quente”. Grime pioneer D Double E appears on “Levels”, Giggs on “Timber”, and J Hus and IRAH team up on “Disgruntled”. Debbie, Blanco, Ledbyher and Col3trane also feature, with IRAH and Col3trane closing the record on “Shutdown”.

The title carries a message. The duo said the album is about resisting the pressure to become like everyone else, in a world shaped by AI, algorithms and endless content, where creativity is pushed towards the familiar, safe and predictable. The cube, they explained, is their symbol for that pressure, a place where original ideas are squeezed into the same shape.

A store-exclusive USB edition adds five unreleased tracks, among them a “Levels” dubplate with D Double E.

Chase & Status are a British electronic duo formed in London in 2003, known for drum and bass and grime.
