David Gilmour launches a 24/7 YouTube channel devoted to his career

David Gilmour has launched a YouTube channel that streams around the clock, seven days a week, covering his whole career from the Pink Floyd years to his solo work, according to OndaRock. The stream mixes songs, live footage, archive recordings and exclusive content, setting Pink Floyd classics alongside the music Gilmour has released under his own name.

The Italian outlet notes that rarities and lesser-known tracks, often absent from radio playlists, are part of the rotation. The project works as a permanent audiovisual radio station that viewers can join at any hour for historic performances, hits and less familiar material by the guitarist.

Meanwhile, Gilmour appears to be working on new music. His wife and collaborator Polly Samson shared photos on social media showing him in the studio, remarking that it was much cooler there than outside, without giving details of the project. According to OndaRock, Gilmour had said in an interview that he planned to make another album, surprising those who saw his 2024 record “Luck and Strange” as an artistic farewell.

Born in 1946 in Cambridge, David Gilmour is an English musician and member of Pink Floyd, rooted in progressive and psychedelic rock. In October mbuzz reported on a Guitar World writer who recalled unknowingly playing, in the mid-1980s, the Black Strat, the black Stratocaster Gilmour used to record “The Dark Side of the Moon”.
