Carlos Santana will play two concerts in Italy in July 2027 as part of the “Planet Of Free Will Global Tour 2027”. The guitarist performs on 17 July in Pordenone, at Parco San Valentino, from 21:00, and on 18 July at the Mura Storiche stage of the Lucca Summer Festival, according to OndaRock.

The Pordenone show, announced earlier, is part of Pordenone Italian Capital of Culture 2027. The Lucca night, promoted by D’Alessandro e Galli, will be Santana’s third appearance at the Tuscan festival, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2027. Tickets for Lucca go on sale on 23 October at 11:00 through TicketOne.

The dates carry special weight for the Mexican-born musician, who turns 80 on 20 July, just two days after the Lucca concert. OndaRock traces his path from Miles Davis and Latin rock to the Woodstock performance, the hits of the 1970s and the late-century comeback with the album “Supernatural”.

Santana, the band, was formed in 1967 in San Francisco and became one of the defining names of Latin rock. The most recent album, “Blessings And Miracles”, came out in 2021. The band last played Romania on 4 July 2009, at Romexpo in Bucharest.
