The Raconteurs reunite on stage at Jack White’s Nashville show
The Raconteurs played together for the first time in nearly seven years, joining Jack White for a surprise encore at his Nashville show on October 10, according to NME. White was on the second of two consecutive nights at The Truth, a new 4,400-capacity venue that opened earlier this month.
The band is White, singer and guitarist Brendan Benson, bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler, who also plays in White’s current solo touring band. Their reunion set opened with the 2006 debut single “Steady, As She Goes”, followed by “Hands”, “Level” and “Broken Boy Soldier”, and closed with “Carolina Drama” from the 2008 album “Consolers Of The Lonely”.
The reunion had been teased beforehand: White urged Raconteurs fans in Nashville on Instagram to buy tickets, hinting that “there just might be a little surprise”. Elsewhere in the set he played songs from across his career, including The White Stripes’ “Icky Thump”, “Black Math” and “Seven Nation Army”, plus solo tracks “Lazaretto”, “Freedom At 21” and “That’s How I’m Feeling”.
The Raconteurs are an American rock band formed in Detroit in 2005. Their last show was on December 13, 2019, in Honolulu, ending a tour for “Help Us Stranger”, released in June 2019. White put out his seventh solo album, “Frozen Charlotte”, in July and has toured throughout 2026.
