U2 tease an announcement for 29 October, likely their 2027 European dates
U2 are set to make an announcement on 29 October 2026, according to billboards spotted at Milan's central railway station, Festileaks reports. The Dutch outlet expects the news to be the European leg of the band's 2027 world tour, “The Greatest Show on Earth”.
The screens show the date 29 October alongside U2-related imagery, including a hat with devil horns, a nod to MacPhisto, the alter ego of singer Bono. They also carry lyrics from “Sunday Bloody Sunday” and from the new song “Silencio”, taken from the album “Carnaval de Luz”.
Rumours about a European leg have circulated for months. According to Festileaks, insiders reported as early as March that bookings had been made in several countries, among them the United Kingdom, Italy and Germany. The band has already announced the first leg of the tour, with large concerts in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina in February and March 2027.
U2 are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1976. In October mbuzz reported that the band will headline the halftime show at the NFL's first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game, as announced by Netflix on 20 October.
