Warpaint announce live album “Artifact” and share two live recordings
American band Warpaint will release the live album “Artifact” on 11 December 2026 through Rough Trade Records. Two tracks from it are already out digitally: “Billie Holiday”, recorded in Phoenix in 2024, and “New Song”, captured on the same tour in Dallas.
The 16 tracks were recorded between 2022 and 2024, at shows following the release of “Radiate Like This”, at gigs marking the 15th anniversary of the band’s debut EP “Exquisite Corpse”, and at concerts celebrating their 20th year as a group. The recordings come from Houston, London, Porto, Dallas, Phoenix, Brussels, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and New York City, and the tracklist includes “Undertow”, “Love Is To Die”, “So Good”, “Elephants” and “Disco//Very”.
It is the band’s first full record since their 2022 album “Radiate Like This” and follows the standalone single “Common Blue”, which marked their return to Rough Trade, their original label. According to Rough Trade, the band describe the collection as a snapshot of the sound and energy of their shows and say they are “very proud of the music” they have made together and of the connection between them.
“Artifact” is available to pre-order on black vinyl, on a white marble pressing sold only through independent record shops, on CD and via streaming services.
Warpaint are an alternative and art rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2004, made up of Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman, Jennylee Lindberg and Stella Mozgawa.
