Queens of the Stone Age share “Run Away From The Mob” with Dave Grohl on drums
Queens of the Stone Age have released “Run Away From The Mob”, the final single ahead of their album “Perfecth”, which is out on 30 October 2026 via Matador. The song closes the record and goes back to the sessions for 2013’s “...Like Clockwork”, with Dave Grohl playing drums.
According to Stereogum, Josh Homme calls the track “a letter, a last one”, written to an oldest son: a message for the moment everything has gone wrong, telling him what to do next. Homme says the ending is the sound of a father standing behind his son. The song looks at mob mentality and the court of public opinion, building from a mournful guitar figure to an explosive statement of unconditional loyalty.
The previous single from “Perfecth” was “Where The Goth Girls At?”.
Queens of the Stone Age are an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1996, known for alternative, hard and stoner rock. Their previous album, “In Times New Roman…”, came out in June 2023. In October mbuzz reported that the band had been confirmed for Sweden Rock Festival 2027, their first announced European festival show of that year.
