Taylor Swift releases The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore with four new songs

Taylor Swift has released “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” an expanded edition of her 2025 album featuring four new songs: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.” According to Stereogum, it is her first new music since her wedding at Madison Square Garden.

Swift said she traveled to Sweden to celebrate the album’s record first week with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, and the trio wrote more songs there, “born out of pure gratitude” for listeners. Consequence notes that she had insisted at the original release that the 12-song tracklist was complete.

“Patient Zero” is the first single from the edition. Its music video, starring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, premieres on Sunday, September 27, at the VMAs, where Swift will receive the first Artist Director Honors.
